Course Overview

This Level 2 Award for Working as a CCTV Operator (Public Space Surveillance) within the Private Security Industry is designed for individuals who are currently working, or wish to work, as CCTV Operators within the private security sector.

The course consists of 2 days of classroom-based training, followed by an examination. Upon successful completion, learners will gain a nationally recognised qualification that enables them to apply for an SIA CCTV licence.

Entry Requirements

To enrol on this course, you must already hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or SIA Security Guard Licence.

A copy of your existing qualification certificate must be provided before the course begins. The qualification must have been completed after April 2021. If you are unable to provide evidence of this, additional classroom training may be required before you can complete the course.
