Course Overview
This Close Protection Top-Up Refresher Course is designed for individuals who have held an SIA Close Protection Licence within the last three years and need to renew their licence.
If your SIA Close Protection Licence has expired for more than three years, you will be required to complete the full Close Protection qualification before applying for a new licence.
The course covers the latest industry standards, safety procedures, and physical intervention techniques required by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
Course Units
To enrol on this course, you must already hold a valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence or SIA Security Guard Licence.
A copy of your existing qualification certificate must be provided before the course begins. The qualification must have been completed after April 2021. If you are unable to provide evidence of this, additional classroom training may be required before you can complete the course.
Physical Fitness Requirements
This training involves practical physical intervention activities and therefore requires a reasonable level of physical fitness.
The course is accessible to individuals with disabilities; however, any medical conditions, disabilities, or existing injuries must be declared before the course starts.
Ultimate Training cannot accept responsibility for injuries or medical issues that were not disclosed prior to or during the course.
